Friday Postings

Talk about a decisive win. Random news blurp, but a high school girl's basketball team held their opponent without a field goal for the ENTIRE game. They won, 94-1.

"I've had 100 points scored on me before, and I think it's important to respect the game and to respect your opponent," Frontier Academy head coach Nathan Buxman said this morning in a phone interview. "We show the most respect for our opponents by continuing to play hard."

That's damn impressive. And also sad for the other team. You figure, if all you did all game... for 40-50 possessions was to chuck crazy 3s anywhere from the arc to half court, you'd hit at least 1. Would be interesting to see some clips of that game.
